about

Candy Canes! Jelly Beans! Comfort and Joy! “The Songs The Season Brings: Vol. 2” is a collection of classic and original Christmas songs to help celebrate the holiday season - again! This second holiday installment from Beta Radio was recorded at home, in churches and in studios in the fall of 2012. We hope these songs fill your head and warm your heart as you wait for Christmas! (Or for the Mayan apocalypse, in case the 25th never comes - oh my)!

And just like last year, we hope these songs are a joy to you, and will keep you company this season as you're cleaning bathrooms, balancing your check book, strategizing over how best to return those pleated Dockers your mom’s half sister gave you that everyone knows you’re waaay to cool to be wearing, blowing up air mattresses, cooking, laughing, buying AAA batteries for your newest thing, potty training, crying, folding up air mattresses - and everything else the season may bring!

Track Name: Winter Eclipse
On the winter solstice, the moon was eclipsed
In my heart, I’ll remain there
Oh, red moon recede in your cocoon
For a moment, I’ll remain there

I walked the lake alone, with the surface as a stone
Every road, now frozen
The homes in uniform, the decorations warm
All is silver, all is golden

On Christmas Eve, I’m always reminded of, the feeling that I love, by the love that I receive
Oh Christmas Day, the feeling I’ve waited for, I’m patient and I’m paying for, but the feeling always goes away

A star led the way, to the terrible display
In the dark, all waited
A sun drew near, when the light would appear
In the cold, celebrated

In the morning light I’d seen, through window and screen
Something so terrible, beautifully terrible
Silence and sound, on frozen ground
The only thing terrible, beautiful, terrible

On Christmas Eve, I’m always reminded of, the feeling that I love, by the love that I receive
Oh Christmas Day, the feeling I’ve waited for, I’m patient and I’m paying for, but the feeling always goes away

Tell me what did you hear
Tell me what did you hear
Tell me what did you hear
Tell me what did you hear
Tell me what did you hear (Ring your bell, Silver Bells)
Tell me what did you hear
Tell me what did you hear (Ring your bell, Silver Bells)
Tell me what did you hear

Santa Claus come soon!
You know we adore you! (I never knew)
We are waiting for you! (I never knew you)
Under the eclipsed moon! (Like you wanted me to)

I don’t know where I am
I can’t undo what I’ve done (I never knew)
Father send me your Son (I never knew you)
Can I go back to where I began (Like you wanted me to)
I don’t know where I am
I can’t undo what I’ve done
I know I’m not the right one
Can I go back to where I began?
